The Massachusetts Commission on Grandparents Raising Grandchildren works to provide information, resources, and support to the over 11,000 grandparents and relative caregivers throughout Massachusetts.  We do this by hosting community workshops, trainings, legislative and policy advocacy, and an annual conference.  For more information, please visit www.massgrg.com.

We are hosting a workshop in Framingham on 4/25/19 9:30 am-12:30 pm at the Framingham Public Library McAuliffe Branch.  The Middlesex DA Marian Ryan will present “How the Opioid Crisis Impacts Seniors and Grandparents” for the first half of the workshop.  Following her presentation, we have an informational panel of statewide and local services who will discuss service and resources for grandparents raising grandchildren.  Agencies such as DCF, DTA, WIC, Elder Services, and more will be in attendance.  This is a great opportunity for grandparents and relative caregivers to learn about important services that may help them and the children they are raising.  Providers are also welcome to attend the workshop.
