Please join Unity House DV Services for their online Second Annual Domestic Violence Awareness. From the organization:

"In response to COVID-19, we have decided to host our annual conference through an interactive webinar platform to allow our attendees and presenters to engage with each other in a meaningful way to create awareness, all while remaining in the comfort of their homes or offices. Please join us as we discuss the topics of Elder Abuse and Trafficking. There will be a Wear Purple Day Celebration on 10/22/2020 before the training, and a live panel and prize give away to wrap things up on 10/29/2020. In order to be eligible for the prize giveaway, you must attend ALL of the trainings. We hope to see you there!"

There will be a session each Thursday in October from 10am-12pm:

  • Series 1 (10/1/2020): "Trafficking in the LGBTQ Community" presented by Julianne Keegan, MSEd, LMHC from Unity House of Troy, Inc Domestic Violence Services
  • Series 2 (10/8/2020): "An Overview of Elder Abuse" presented by The National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL)
  • Series 3 (10/15/2020): "Trafficking and Immigration/Refugee Services" presented by Carl Boykin, Director of Human Trafficking Prevention and Nora Cronin, Coordinator to the Response of Human Trafficking Program from the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA)
  • Series 4 (10/22/2020): "Elder Abuse and Asphyxiation" presented by Dr Angelina Maloney, NYS EMT, NYS CLI and Brad Maloney, NYS EMT, NYS CLI and Noelle Gilligan, MSEd, LMHC, NCC from Unity House of Troy, Inc Domestic Violence Services
