Why You Should Attend

Following the widespread protests last summer, law offices across the United States declared their commitment to the goals of equity, diversity, and inclusion. What steps have individuals and law offices taken since then? At this year's "Diversity & Inclusion in Law Practice" program, a faculty of attorneys and diversity professionals will discuss important recent legal developments that impact equity, diversity, and inclusion; what law firms, corporate law departments and the judiciary can do to identify and disrupt systemic racism in the profession; and specific, practical suggestions for achieving a sustainable, diverse legal workplace.

What You Will Learn

- Recent legal developments, including the impact of ESG on diversity, and updates on immigration and higher education and the pipeline
- How law firms, corporate legal departments, and the judiciary can identify and disrupt racism in the legal profession
- Practical steps and candid evaluation of practices and programs in law firms and corporations/nonprofit organizations that work to advance diversity and inclusion

This program will be of great interest to all legal professionals concerned about issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, including partners and associates, in-house counsel, diversity directors, and professionals working in government or nonprofit organizations.
