The BBA, in partnership with the PAIR Project, is hosting an ICE Detention Training Series for attorneys of all experience levels. After attending the overview session and at least one additional training, attorneys can volunteer for a removal defense case with PAIR. More details on volunteer expectations and the series are available here.
This session will focus on the legal mechanisms available to secure the release of clients from ICE detention, specifically:
- Requesting bond
- Applying for parole
- Seeking habeas relief
The training will provide insights into each of these legal options, helping attendees understand the basics of requesting a release for detained clients.
