The BBA, in partnership with the PAIR Project, is hosting an ICE Detention Training Series for attorneys of all experience levels. After attending the overview session and at least one additional training, attorneys can volunteer for a removal defense case with PAIR. More details on volunteer expectations and the series are available here.

This session will explore removal defenses that go beyond fear-based claims. Among others, we will cover the following defenses:

  • Termination of removal proceedings
  • Cancellation of removal
  • Refugee waivers
  • Adjustment of status
  • Temporary Protected Status (TPS)

This session will be valuable for those seeking to understand non-fear-based defenses in removal proceedings.
