North Shore Community Action Programs, Inc. (NSCAP), Northeast Legal Aid, Inc. (NLA) and the Northeast Justice Center (NJC) will be conducting a half-day training on basic landlord/tenant law.

Wednesday, May 17, 2017
12:30 PM to 4:00 PM

The training will be held at the Northeast Housing Court, 56 Federal Street, Salem, MA 01970. Complimentary lunch will be served.

The training will be presented by experts in landlord/tenant law, a Housing Specialist (mediator), the Tenancy Preservation Program clinicians, and the Assistant Clerk of the Court. We are honored to have a view from the bench presented by a Judge from the Northeast Housing Court.

The training and all materials (Legal Tactics: Tenants’ Rights in Massachusetts, Judge David D. Kerman’s Bench Memorandum, a hard copy of the PowerPoint presentation and additional materials provided by the trainers) are FREE in exchange for a commitment to volunteer at six Lawyer of the Day sessions in the Northeast Housing Court between now and May 17, 2018. Each Lawyer of the Day session lasts approximately four hours.

Those not able to commit to volunteering at this time may attend the training and receive all materials at a cost of $250. See below for how to pay for the training and materials if that is your preference.
