The American Bar Association is holding a free webinar entitled Language Justice During COVID-19 on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM Eastern.
Most lawyers have encountered clients who do not use English as their dominant language. How are these clients adversely affected during the COVID-19 pandemic?
This program introduces you to the concept of language justice and encourages you to see language access issues from a different perspective. In order to fully appreciate our clients’ needs we need to look inward to reassess and strengthen our language practices.
Hear from attorneys and interpreters who have helped bridge the gap in services for some of the most vulnerable members of our community in the aftermath of natural disasters and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This free online event is open to the public.
