Minority communities are poised to suffer outsized financial repercussions as our nation continues to grapple with the fallout of COVID-19; and accordingly, are likely to have a disproportionate need for loan servicing support as they face default on consumer loans. During this webinar, panelists will discuss the applicability of anti-discrimination laws to loan servicing, relevant regulatory guideposts, and lessons learned from the 2008 foreclosure crisis that may be applicable here. Panelists also will discuss best practices for management of fair servicing risk as we face this new wave of financial crisis. Panelists: Agnes Bundy Scanlan (moderator), The Cambridge Group, Boston, MA Jonice Gray Tucker, Buckley LLP, Washington, DC Patrice Ficklin, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Washington, DC Presented by: Banking Law Committee
