The American Bar Association Standing Committee on Legal Assistance for Military Personnel is hosting a virtual program entitled Immmigration Law and Military Families on November 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM-3:20 PM Eastern.
This program focuses on how a variety of U.S. immigration issues and policies affect servicemembers, military veterans, and their families, including visas, adjustment of status, naturalization, issues involving children and parents, special laws that apply to military members, veterans, and military families, and more.
The program is designed for military attorneys working in legal assistance, as well as civilian lawyers whose practices involve military-connected clients or issues.
COST:
For this 3-hour CLE:
- $45 for ABA members;
- $90 for non-members.
- FREE for all military attorneys (Judge Advocates), military paralegals, and civilians employed by the military who sign-up before the live webinar.
MATERIALS:
Participants are encouraged to download CLE program materials, beginning November 2. Registrants will be emailed instructions for downloading materials.

- CLE Credit Comments:
The ABA will seek 3 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states, and 3.6 hours of CLE credit for this program in 50-minute states. Credit hours are estimated and are subject to each state’s approval and credit rounding rules. *Florida Bar regulators have stated that attorneys will not receive Florida credit for this ABA program, even if they self-apply.
