About this Project
MEDICAL-LEGAL PARTNERSHIP - ADVOCACY FOR A HEALTHY COMMUNITY
Organization: Community Legal Aid/Volunteer Lawyers Service Medical - Legal Partnership
http://www.communitylegal.org/
Community Legal Aid and UMass Memorial Health Care have joined to improve the health of low-income families in Central Massachusetts by tackling the unmet health-harming legal needs faced by the system's most vulnerable patients.
A Community Legal Aid attorney will be embedded at three UMass Memorial primary care partner clinics and accept referrals directly from medical providers. Community Legal Aid will work with pro bono attorneys from the private bar to serve these families. We are proud to partner with the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership (please click here to learn more).
