Standing Strong: A Guide to Navigating the Legal System for Victims of Domestic Violence

Standing Strong is a helpful legal booklet and resource guide for survivors of domestic violence and their advocates.

Written by the Women's Bar Foundation on a grant through the Office of Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice, it contains useful law overviews and frequently asked questions about common family law and financial issues. The guide includes chapters on divorce, child support, visitation and custody, immigration, restraining orders, criminal and financial issues. It also offers directories of domestic violence programs and resources, legal services in Massachusetts, the Probate and Family Court, visitation centers, and District Attorneys.

Download the booklet from the Women's Bar Foundation website, in their section on the Family Law Project for Battered Women.
