Emergency Assistance Advocacy Guide
A Guide to Emergency Shelter and Rehousing Services for Homeless Families with Children in Massachusetts
By Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, September 2017 Edition
As described by MCLE:
Using a simple question-and-answer format, this Guide leads advocates and homeless families through the rules governing eligibility for Emergency Assistance-the program that provides emergency shelter and rehousing services to homeless families with children in Massachusetts. Revised in September 2017, the Guide provides contact information for the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), the agency that administers the program, as well as special advocacy reminders to help families access these critical safety net services.
