Pro Bono Attorneys Needed for Compelling Asylum Cases!
Organization: Political Asylum/Immigration Representation Project (PAIR)
PAIR is a 501 (c) (3) legal services organization that uses a pro bono model to provide free representation to asylum seekers and immigrants unjustly detained by ICE. Our clients face incredible hardships trying to rebuild their lives in a new country where they face anti-immigrant rhetoric and harsh changes to immigration law and policy.
PAIR relies on volunteers with diverse skills, including attorneys to represent PAIR clients and immigration detainees with their cases on the merits in immigration court and before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. All cases are thoroughly vetted and close mentoring is provided by the PAIR staff.
We also seek volunteers to assist with legal orientation in ICE detention, community "Know Your Rights" workshops, habeas petitions, immigration bond, legal interpreting/translations, and asylum intake.
