Volunteer Projects
The Hampden County Conciliation Project (In-Person)
Organization: Community Legal Aid (CLA)
The Hampden County Conciliation Project, run in collaboration with the Hampden County Bar Association and Senior Partners for Justice, assists litigants who have made a court appearance, and whose case the presiding Judge believes would be better resolved through the assistance of a trained neutral.
IN-PERSON @ Roderick L. Ireland Courthouse, 4th Floor - Probate and Family Court (50 State Street, Springfield, MA)
Shifts: 9am-1pm
Time Commitment: 4 hours
How it Works: Volunteers willing to conduct in-person conciliations may sign up for 4-hour shifts below and HCBA and CLA staff will assist with intake and feedback forms. When you sign up this way, the court will send the respective parties to conciliation at the time of their court appearance.
